Aasha went to visit the SYAG (Save The Youth Action Group) projects in Madiana Village and their orphanage where they are based in. It is custom in Gambia that you meet the chief of the village first. Aasha met with the chief of the village, who was very happy to see them and said “You have come twice to see us and we know that you truly want to help our village and our youth”.
Aasha visited the different projects of SYAG including the poultry farm, orphanage and some of their new projects including the new poultry farm in Madiana village which collapsed during the monsoon season this year.
The people of Madiana were very welcoming and greeted Aasha with big smiles and gave some traditional food to their guests and some local fruits to take with them.
Muhinur Choudhury, Aasha: “The amazing thing about the visit was that although the youth and the elders do not have the same luxuries as others, they seemed genuinely happier and content with what they have, but at the same time they are determined to make best use of the resources available to them and strive to better the quality of life for themselves”

I hail from this village, know about the house proposed for the poultry that collapsed. However, I am not aware of any orphanage or other project related to this organisation. It would be of great help if you let me know what are the other projects and where they are located, especially the orphanage.
Regards.
Baba

Let us put our hands to gether and help our people, and not to castigate each other we are brothers, i know that you can go for your onw and i can also go for my own leaving but let us always remember the helpless one`s and think for tomorrow.

As in a previous message to you, I live in Madiana too. I agree with Baba’s comments in that I am also unaware of any orphanage in Madiana. Can you enlighten us?
Best wishes, Debbie Williams, Gambian Projects

Thank you Baba, and Williams,
This is an other step foward for us to hear such from people saying that they love The Gambia. All your comments, are understood to all the members of this Organization, all i need my self personally as the founding father of this norble Organisation, is you try and know that i am not an enemy to you and i dont think that you dont have any other enemy within the Group. and i want you to know that this is a legally registered Organization, and please remember that The Gambia is a Country with a rule of Law and oder.
Please dont handle the Law in to your own hands and be saying what so ever you feel to say about the Organization, Save The Youths Action Group is an Organization that opperates in and out side The Gambia, you cannot just sit and say that you have ingrevians on me and jump on to the Organisation and say what ever you feel.
And i want to tell you that this Organization that you dont want to see have given scholarships to many people in the Village of Madiana, which we can prove, please Baba, we are brothers, let us use the level of our Education to help people who are needy i think is better than trying to use it as a wepon to castigate others efforts, let us be patriotic to our Country, and put the people before our interest. This Organization can prove it self out in many places that you may not know, and we are working very closely with Authoriteis to help and we will do so for ever.
Thank
